Description

The concert prefaces the third annual Institute on the Pedagogies of World Music Theories founded by the Ethnomusicologist-Composer Brenda M. Romero and hosted at the University of Colorado, Boulder. The Institute expands the range of its purview in response to a growing interest among university-level instructors of music who seek to infuse their courses with concepts and pedagogies from a variety of world traditions.

The ensemble includes bassist Kenneth Walker, drummer Todd Reid and vocalist Arianna Aerie. It will take place in the University’s Chamber Hall, Room C-119. General admission is $10 and $5 for students. More information about the Oîkos Ensemble can be found at www.oikos-ensemble.com
