Description

A 7:00 p.m. jazz vespers service with saxophonist Willie Sordillo, www.williesordillo.com/, who has recorded for the Folkways and Flying Fish labels, among others, and toured internationally with the band Flor de Caña sharing the stage with such notables as Tito Puente, Rubén Blades, Poncho Sanchez, Richie Havens and Pete Seeger. Bassist Bob Sinicrope, www.bobsinicrope.com/ is leader of two groups, The World Leaders and Sounds Global. His credits include performances with Shirley Bassey, Jerry Bergonzi, Billy Eckstine, Jon Faddis, Tiny Grimes, Abdullah Ibrahim, Papa Jo Jones, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Babatunde Olatunji, Bobyy Sanabria, the Boston Pops, and the Artie Shaw Band. He's an educator and was honored recently by the National Youth Development Council at Berklee College of Music. He leads the jazz program at Milton Academy.
